The Central Florida Golden Knights are on a bit of a roll. Sure, they’ve alternated wins and losses on the field but they are consistently winning money for the NCAA Football Betting public.
Tonight, they are the favorites to beat the Marshall Thundering Herd when they visit Huntington West Virginia when the teams meet in the ESPN primetime game.
The college football odds makers have set the NCAA Football odds favoring UCF by -6-points on the spread. A straight up bet on the underdog Marshall will pay bettors +200 on the moneyline. The game total is set at 45 points.

Marshall is 1-4 straight up and against the spread. Marshall had an extra week off to think about their embarrassing 41-16 loss to South Mississippi. Marshall was a 9½-point underdog but didn’t come close to staying within the points in the 25-point loss.
Marshall gave up over 200 yards on the ground to Southern Mississippi and that could present a problem against the UFC Golden Knights.
The Golden Knights are averaging 192.8 rushing yards on the ground. Last week, UFC pounded the rock for 228 yards in a 42-7 win over UAB.
UFC spreads the ball around on the ground. Quarterback Jeff Godfrey leads the team with 283 rushing yards. Ronnie Weaver (255), Jonathan Davis (184) and Brandon Kelly (101) have combined for another 490 yards on the ground.
The UFC passing game doesn’t account for much in terms of offense but the combination of Godfrey and Rob Calabrese have combined to complete about 65% of their passes for 847 yards, 3 touchdowns and 4 interceptions.
The UCF defense is solid. They rank 8th in the nation in points allowed (13.8), 32nd in rushing yards allowed (117) and 9th in total offensive yards given up (265.2).
Those numbers are good but it’s the pass defense that sets them apart from the rest of their Conference USA brethren. The pass defense is holding opponents to just 148.2 yards a game, good for 5th in the nation.
The Marshall Thundering Herd only win this season was a 24-23 win over Ohio but they were NCAA Football Betting favorites of 6½-points. They did surprise sports betting expectations in their second game of the season when they came within 3 points of West Virginia.
The offense and the defense both rank towards the bottom of the nation. Their best offensive ranking is their passing with 199 yards a game which ranks them 77th. Their best defensive ranking is an 86th best run defense that allows 173.8 yards a game.
UCF hasn’t won back to back games this season but in tonight’s game, they should be too much for the Marshall Thundering Herd. Marshall’s defense is soft against the run and their passing attack will be in trouble against the Golden Knights.
The NCAA Football Betting spread is less than a touchdown but UCF should win this by a couple of touchdowns.
